How to Migrate from SiteLink to Brynlock
Migrating from SiteLink to Brynlock takes about an hour of hands-on work. Export your tenants and units as CSV from SiteLink's Reports menu (15 minutes), then upload the file to the Brynlock importer (30 minutes including column mapping review). The CSV importer auto-detects SiteLink's column format. There is no migration fee, no implementation consultant, and no support ticket required.

The six steps to export from SiteLink Web Edition

Open SiteLink Express
Log in to your SiteLink Express or SiteLink Web Edition account. Make sure you have manager or admin access, since export is restricted to these roles.
If you don't have admin access, ask your facility manager or the SiteLink account owner to add the Reports and Data Export permissions to your role.

Navigate to Reports
From the main menu, click Reports. In SiteLink Web Edition, this is usually in the left sidebar under the Reports icon.
In older versions of SiteLink Express, the Reports menu may be labeled "Admin Reports" and located under the gear/settings icon in the top right.

Find Data Export or CSV Export
Look for "Export" or "Data Export" in the Reports menu. Depending on your version, this may be under Admin Reports or a gear/settings menu.
SiteLink's export interface has changed across versions. If you can't locate it, SiteLink documentation is at sitelink.com/help, and SiteLink support is at (919) 865-0789.

Export Tenant Data
Select "Tenants" or "Current Tenants" from the export options. Choose CSV as the format. Include all columns; Brynlock can handle extra fields and will let you map them.
Export active tenants only; past tenants aren't migrated. Brynlock starts a fresh ledger from your import date; historical payment data stays in SiteLink for reference.

Export Unit Data (optional)
Repeat the process for units if you want to pre-populate your unit grid. This file includes unit numbers, dimensions, and type.
If you've already set up units in Brynlock during onboarding, you can skip this step. The tenant import will associate tenants to existing units by unit number.

Import into Brynlock
Sign in to Brynlock and go to the Import page. Upload your CSV and Brynlock auto-detects SiteLink columns and asks you to confirm the mapping before importing.
The importer flags duplicate tenants and incomplete rows before any data is committed.
Common questions
How long does migrating from SiteLink to Brynlock take?
About an hour of hands-on work. The SiteLink export itself takes about 10 minutes; the Brynlock CSV importer detects the column mappings, so the import side takes 15–30 minutes including review. Autopay then runs on the next 1st.
What happens to my payment history when I migrate?
Payment history stays in SiteLink. Brynlock starts a fresh ledger from your import date. If you need prior payment history accessible, export a payment report from SiteLink and keep it on file. Brynlock preserves the CSV so it remains available for audit reference.
Will migrating affect my SiteLink account?
No. Exporting from SiteLink is read-only; your SiteLink data is unchanged by the export. Brynlock recommends running both systems in parallel for one billing cycle so tenants experience continuous service while you verify the import.
What if I can't find the SiteLink export option?
Contact SiteLink support at (919) 865-0789. They can run the export on your behalf or guide you to the correct menu in your version. Or email hello@brynlock.com with your SiteLink version and Brynlock will walk you through it.
Do I need to migrate tenants and units separately?
You can. Brynlock supports a unit-only import (to pre-populate the unit grid) followed by a tenant import (which links tenants to existing units by unit number). Most operators import both together; the choice doesn't affect the final result.
Is there a migration fee?
No. Brynlock does not charge migration fees, setup fees, or onboarding fees. The CSV importer is included in the $0.50/unit/month subscription. There is no implementation consultant requirement and no support ticket required.
